Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “God’s Valentine”, based on John 3:16:

God loves us.

Our sin separated us from God.

God demonstrates His love for us, that while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.

Jesus took our punishment upon Him.

If we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and believe that He died for our sins and if we call upon Jesus to save us, He will hear us and will forgive our sins.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Are you a Convert or a Disciple?” based on Matthew 7: 24-27.

A convert is one who has been persuaded from one belief or view to another.

A disciple is one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another.

A convert could be a true believer or one in “name” only.

A disciple is someone who is following Jesus and obeying His commandments.

The Great Commission did not say, “Go and make converts…”; it said, “Go and make disciples…”

Jesus said, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Me.”

Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”

Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”
