About Rick Boyne:

I was born and raised in Sapulpa, OK,  and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ when I was 8 years old. Even though I was raised in church, it wasn’t until I became involved with the Baptist Student Union at the University of Oklahoma that I really learned to walk with God.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with degree in Psychology, I moved to Los Angeles, California, where I participated in ministry with the Church on Brady. In 1989, I became a Journeyman with the Foreign Mission Board (now International Mission Board) in Hong Kong, where I worked at HK Baptist Press and HK Baptist College. I had the privilege of being on the church planting team to start New Hope Baptist Church in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

I returned to Oklahoma in 1991 and began work with the State of Oklahoma as social worker. In 1992, I met and married Sally Bridges in Vinita, OK. In 1996, we surrendered to missions and we began working toward that end. During this time, I began my studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1998, we were appointed to the International Mission Board. We served in West Africa, until 2002 when a civil war in the Ivory Coast caused us to relocate. God directed us to move to Chiang Mai, Thailand, to serve on the East Asia support team. After three years, we moved to Hong Kong. We arrived in the US in March 2007 on our Stateside Assignment.

After arriving back in the US, God made it very clear to us that we were to remain in the US instead of returning to overseas service. I believe that God has released us from living overseas, but has not released us from HIS service.

Sally and I have two lovely daughters and are enjoying serving Him at Immanuel. We have been delighted to get to know the nice folks in Wagoner and trying to meet their unmet spiritual needs. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, prayer requests or other needs.

God bless you.

    Rick,
I had not idea you were pastoring. I’ll be remembering you and the family in prayer as you serve Jesus in Oklahoma.
    Blessings,
    Brandt
