Sunday’s Coming!
Posted by Rick on January 4, 2008
Dear Friends, we have an exciting start to 2008! We’re going to be looking at a series of sermons called “God Is Closer Than You Think”. This first Sunday of the year, we’ll look at Psalm 73 and Asaph’s complaint to God of the prosperity of the wicked. We’ll look at how it pertains to today with the sermon, “God is Closer Than You Think, When You Get a Raw Deal”.
I know there are some right here in Wagoner who read this blog who haven’t yet visited our church. I invite you right now to start the New Year right by going to church! Maybe you’ve been hurt by “church people” in the past. Maybe a previous pastor has “done you wrong”. Maybe you’ve even been hurt in this church. I urge you to put it behind you and give God another try!
Our church is a caring congregation of folks who just want to love the Lord. Even though no one (or no church) is perfect, you will find love and acceptance here at Immanuel. If you are looking for a perfect church, you’ll never find one; the church is full of people. People are fallible. Only God is perfect.
Come grow with us! Make 2008 the year that you either get back in church or the year that you decide to get right with God! Sunday School starts at 9:45 and Worship starts at 10:55. See you Sunday! 😉
