Sunday’s Coming!
Posted by Rick on March 14, 2008
March 16 – Palm Sunday. The day we commemorate Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. It was the day that Christ humbly rode a donkey into the capitol. They day the people of Israel were looking for Him to become a political king and free them from the ruthless rule of the Roman Empire. It was the only day when He was recognized and worshiped, in person, as the Messiah. He didn’t meet their expectations. He came to establish a heavenly kingdom, not to rule on earth. Join us at Immanuel Baptist Church this Palm Sunday as we ask the question, “What are YOU looking for?” based on John 12:9-13.
Come back in the evening service and learn about the day “When Jesus Got Mad”, based on Mark 11:15-18.
As we begin this Holy Week, I pray that you will take every opportunity to share your faith with your family, friends and those whom the Lord lays on your heart. Be sure to invite your family, friends, and neighbors to attend church with you on Palm Sunday and of course, on Easter Sunday. Let them know that we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper on Easter. And, be sure to invite them to Sunday School!
