Bits & Bytes

Posted by Rick on March 25, 2008

We had such a wonderful time together on Resurrection Sunday!  We enjoyed two special music presentations and a selection from the Immanuel Choir.  We also celebrated the Lord’s Supper.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon: “He Is Risen”:

  • The women who went to the tomb weren’t expecting Jesus to be alive, otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of buying and gather the spices for preparing His body.
  • When they got to to the tomb and found it open, they didn’t understand what was going on.
  • When the women told the disciples what the angels said, the disciples didn’t understand it, either.
  • Once they understood that He was alive, then they no longer had any doubts.
  • Jesus’ resurrection makes it possible for us to have eternal life.
