Bits and Bytes

Posted by Rick on April 13, 2009

With the goings on of yesterday and the fact that our regular sound man is Marty’s husband, there was a technical glitch in the recording of the Easter Sermon and unfortunately, no copy is available to duplicate online. However, here are some “sound bites” from yesterday’s sermon, “The End of the Law” based on Romans 10:1-13

  • Before the cross, people had to make sacrifices because their righteous living wasn’t good enough.
  • On the cross, Jesus said, “it is finished”, meaning that His sacrifice was good enough to be acceptable to God.
  • Since the cross, people can believe in their hearts that Jesus is the Son of God and confess with their mouths that God raised Him from the dead and they can be saved.
  • Righteous living is good; but it isn’t good enough to get you to Heaven.

May God bless you as you hear and do His word.
