Bits and Bytes

Posted by Rick on April 1, 2008

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday’s sermon “Full of Doubt” based on John 20:1-29:

  • Thomas made a mistake by leaving the fellowship of believers when he was suffering and had doubts instead of staying with them.
  • Thomas did right by not pretending to believe when he really didn’t.
  • Thomas gets a bad rap because he expresses his doubts out-loud.
  • Jesus knew and addressed his words of doubt.
  • When he did believe, he went “full tilt”.  Not only did he proclaim Jesus to be his master, but also his God.
  • Jesus said, “You needed the eyes of sight to make you believe; but the days will come when people will see with the eye of faith, and will believe”.
  • THOSE DAYS ARE HERE!
