Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “You Could Be Next” based on Matthew 26:69-75:
Spiritual pride can bring down even the mighty.
We must always be on our guard against pride.
We must put on humility.
False humility doesn’t cut it.
We must acknowledge the weakness of our flesh.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Do-Nothing Christians” based on James 1:22-25:
Jesus didn’t die on the cross for you to sit comfortably in a church for an hour each week.
Hearing is the function of perceiving sound.
Listening is being changed by what we hear.
Doing it is putting feet or hands to what we listened to.
Prove your faith.

Here are some “Sound Bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “A Matter of Obedience” based on Matthew 25:14-30:
We must be willing and available to obey God.
God expects a return on His investment of your soul.
We better not show up empty handed.
God expects that we be faithful to share with others after we are saved.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “A Matter of Faith” based on Matthew 8:5-13:
The church has dropped the ball in the faith department.
The church looks too much like the world to make an impact for God.
If we want to change the world, we must live by faith.
If we don’t have faith that God is in control, then we don’t have enough faith for salvation.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “God Has a Plan” based on Jeremiah 29:11-13:
We try to make our own plans, but usually just end up making a mess.
We should not try to ask God to simply bless the plans we have made.
We should seek God’s plan then adapt to it!
God wants us to succeed; success may not always be what we think it is.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “What is a Christian?” based on Acts 11:19-26
Just because you call yourself a Christian, doesn’t make you one.
There should be evidence in your life of your new life in Christ.
A Christian shows evidence of believing.
A Christian shows evidence of adhering to God’s word.
A Christian shows evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
A Christian shows evidence of faithful service to God.
A Christian shows evidence of witnessing (telling) their faith.

If you were arrested and accused of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Many like to call themselves “Christian”, but, Sunday morning, we’ll examine together and answer the question, “What is a Christian?” based on Acts 11:19-26.
Sunday evening, we’ll talk about “Tooting Your Own Horn” based on Matthew 6:1-6.
Immediately following the evening service, we’ll have a Special “Called” Business Meeting to discuss the opportunity of co-sponsoring a new Indian Mission here in Wagoner. We will partner with First Indian Baptist Church in Muskogee and the new work will use our facilities.
What an exciting time to be a part of God’s Work at Immanuel Southern!

Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning’s sermon, “Sound the Alarm” based on Ezekiel 33:1-11:
If we share the Gospel and someone doesn’t believe, then their blood is on their hands.
If we share the Gospel and they believe, then they are saved.
If we fail to share the Gospel, they will die in their sins and their blood will be on our hands.
We are commanded to share the Gospel.
God has given us the authority to tell people to repent and believe the Gospel.
We must be faithful to the task.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Fireproof Faith” based on Daniel 3:13-31:
Hannaniah, Mishael, and Azariah were faced with obedience to God or compromise to save their hide.
Rather than compromise, they trusted God to save them.
They had decided that even IF God chose to not save them, they weren’t going to bow to the idol.
We won’t typically face those types of decisions because we will have already compromised.
We face the decision between obedience and compromise a hundred times a day.
We must be faithful to God and trust His way.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Standing Firm” based on Daniel 1:1-21:
Sometimes we are tempted to compromise based on our circumstances.
Once we compromise, we will have to fight it for the rest of our lives.
If we stand firm and do not compromise, we may have to face the consequences.
If we don’t stand firm and compromise, we will have to face God.
Who are you trying to please?
