Bits & Bytes

Posted by Rick on October 14, 2008

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “Read the Signs” based on Matthew 24:1-14:

  • As we can look up in the sky and know that a storm is coming, so can we “read” the signs that Jesus will return.
  • Jesus provides at least six signs to tell us of his return:
  1. False Christs
  2. Wars and rumors of wars
  3. Famines and earthquakes
  4. Christians hated by all nations
  5. False prophets
  6. People’s love will grow cold because of lawlessness
  • Jesus tells us to “not be frightened”
  • Instead, we should be very encouraged, for the signs are there that He will be returning soon.
  • Are you ready for His return?

You can listen to the sermon here or by clicking on the audio player below:

You can also listen to Sunday evening’s sermon, “Be on the Alert” based on Matthew 24:36-51 (regarding what Jesus says to be doing while waiting for His return) here or by clicking on the audio player below:
