CIA Director, Tony Boyd, annouced Monday that he has been called as the youth pastor at Open Doors Baptist Church in Columbia, MO. His last Sunday with ISBC will be August 1.
Tony will stay and honor his commitments of children’s camp and VBS.
We wish Tony and Lori the very best as they start a new chapter of their lives in Missouri.
Unfortunately there will be no youth meeting on the 25th. Yes, I understand that’s saddening news, however, we will resume the following Wed. (Dec. 2nd). Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Tony
ISBC is excited to announce the formation of CIA-Christianity in Action! This is the youth group of Immanuel Southern and they will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the youth room. Our newest ISBC member, Tony Boyd, and his wife, Lori, will be leading this dynamic time of fellowship and Bible Study. We are excited to see what God will be doing through CIA.
Tony and Lori moved back to Wagoner from Omaha, NE. Tony feels a call from God to work with youth and we are blessed to have them in our congregation. Tony was recently placed on the Board of Eternity Fraternity.
We have created a youth page on this website along with a Facebook page.
ISBC will recognize two graduating seniors during our Sunday Morning Worship Service. Amanda Montgomery and Max Dunn will graduate this week. Amanda is a senior at Wagoner High School and Max is a senior at Okay High School. Amanda will enroll at Wright Career College and Max will major in Psychology at NSU.
May God bless you both as you seek to serve Him!
Audrey Boyne, daughter of pastor Rick Boyne and his wife, Sally, attended Falls Creek Baptist Encampment two weeks ago with Emmanuel Baptist Church of Enid, OK. The last evening there, she felt God’s call on her life for service as an overseas missionary. Due to extenuating circumstances, she was unable to make her call known public at the Falls Creek Tabernacle Invitation.
Yesterday morning, she came forward during the invitation time at her home church to make her decision public. The whole congregation affirmed her in her decision and promised to support her with prayer and finances. After the service was completed, Audrey greeted the whole church in a reception line.
Audrey already has a vast experience in missions. She is an MK (Missionary Kid) having lived in Guinea, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Thailand and Hong Kong. She has also traveled to The Gambia, Togo, Singapore, Macau, China, and Mongolia. Her heart for missions started when she was just 2 1/2 years old as her parents became missionaries with the IMB in Guinea, West Africa. She has lived 8 of her 12 years overseas. She will enter the 7th grade at Wagoner Middle School this fall.
Won’t you join with us as we pray for Audrey and guide her in her journey with God to fulfill the Great Commission?
We will have a SHORT special “Called” business meeting immediately following services Sunday evening. It is to vote on an endorsement of Bo Willis who has been elected to the Oklahoma State Baptist Youth Orchestra.
Let’s give Bo a great boost of encouragement!
