We are pleased to announce that both Dean Haley and John Couch have been called by unanimous vote to serve as our Minister of Children and Minister of Youth, respectively. In a Special Called Business Meeting in the evening of October 26, the church recognized God’s call in both men and approved them by unanimous vote. May God bless both of them, their families, and their ministries!

Children’s Ministry Center Groundbreaking Announced
Immanuel Southern Baptist Church will break ground on September 14, 2014, on a new Children’s Ministry Center!
The 3900 sq ft building will include a new nursery, classrooms, and a children’s assembly area, as well as a new suite of restrooms for the church.
The estimated $120,000 cost includes remodeling the old children’s wing and nursery to become the new Youth Wing!
Construction is expected to last about 8 months.
Join the ceremony at 1:30 on Sunday, September 14, 611 N. Gertrude, Wagoner, OK 74467. We’ll begin with dinner on the grounds at noon.

Dean Haley New Children’s Director
Rev. Dean Haley was elected by acclamation at the March Business Meeting to the position of Children’s Director.

Dean and Wanda Haley Dean is married to Wanda, the secretary for the Muskogee Baptist Association. He is the former pastor of New Faith Baptist Church in Muskogee. He has previously been in children’s ministry for many years and is affectionately known as “Candy Man”. Dean is employed at Dal-Tile in Muskogee.
Dean will coordinate all of the children’s ministries at ISBC including Children’s Church, Children’s Camp, Children’s Choir, and will coordinate with VBS and Sunday School regarding appropriate materials and curriculum.

New Children’s Ministry Announced
We are pleased to announce a new children’s ministry opportunity! Beginning Wednesday, August 14, we will have a Children’s Choir!
They will meet each Wednesday evening from 7 – 8 pm under the direction of Amanda Alsip and Janet Castillo.
Children from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are invited to participate!
