This coming Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. Advent is a time where the western church acknowledges the coming of the season by remembering different items related to Christmas. We will observe Advent at Immanuel by using the traditional Advent Candle & Wreath. Sunday’s sermon will be the first of a 4 part Advent series, Searching for Christmas, with the sermon, “The King Who Missed Christmas”, referring to King Herod. Sunday evening we’ll take a look at Jesus’ claim to be “Greater Than Solomon”.
Don’t forget the “Hanging of the Greens” this Saturday at 10 am!
