Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning sermon, “Deeds of the Flesh” based on Galatians 5:16-21:
-
We humans try to do good, but often end up falling way short of what we want to do.
-
Instead of doing good, we do awful, despicable, unimaginable evil deeds.
-
These evil deeds are the result of our taking control of our lives and trying to be our own boss.
-
We hurt others when we do these bad things.
-
Unbelievers sometimes do good things; believers sometimes do bad things.
-
The list of the bad things shouldn’t characterize the life/lifestyle of a believer.
-
You can get out of the rut of these sin habits by asking Jesus into your heart.
