Danger Notice!
I was just made aware of a dangerous situation. The recent wind storm has downed some electric wires at the back of the church. Tom Roberts called to tell me that the city told him that the wires were still live. They told him that they were stacked up and will get to it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I have posted danger signs on the pole and am writing you to bring your attention to this. Please do not let children play around this pole, and please do not try to move them yourself. The ends of the wire are covered, but they are still live.

ISBC Falls Creek Report

Pathfinders attended the first week of the 2016 Falls Creek Camp Season, June 6-10. We rented the Soldier Creek cabin which served our needs quite well. Out of 28 students who attended, 2 were saved, 1 was rededicated, 2 came for baptism, and one surrendered to ministry!
We had 5 students serve on the Decision Team and assisted other students with salvation, re-dedications, and other other decisions.
We had 8 adult sponsors and were able to make use of our new buses. Sponsor Kim Stevens, the head cook, won first place in the 2016 Week One Falls Creek Bake Off, Breads Division!

Last night, those who were able to make it to church, gave a verbal report. The pastor was quoted as saying “It was the best Falls Creek report I’ve ever seen.”

2015 VBS Report
2015 VBS has come and gone and it will be known as a “success!”
We had 92 children registered with an average attendance of 57. We inadvertently scheduled VBS at the same time as a major city event. We’ll make different arrangements in 2016.
We had 13 children express faith in Jesus Christ as their savior!
We had 45 different volunteers over the week.
We rejoice for the Lord using us to build His Kingdom!

ISBC Licenses McElmurry & Gray
In a ceremony held April 12, Immanuel Southern Baptist Church licensed Gary McElmurry and Elzie Gray to the ministry. Each man gave a brief testimony and the pastor, Rick Boyne, charged them with the task of the Gospel. Ordained men laid their hands on both men and women of the church prayed for both wives. A reception followed.
Gary & Sheila McElmurry and Joann & Elzie Gray
Bro Gary plans to become involved with jail/prison ministry and Bro Elzie interest lays in outreach/evangelism.
May God bless both of these men and their families as they enter the ministry.

Concept Design Revealed
We are pleased to reveal the future building plans for ISBC.
The building just to the right of the sanctuary is the new Children’s Ministry Center. This is Phase 1. We have already broken ground on this building.
Phase 2 is the building to the rear and left of the sanctuary. That will be “The Connection”, or a multi-purpose building to house our Food Pantry Ministry, classrooms and the fellowship hall. It will include a huge foyer/entry at the rear of the church and a covered entrance at the front. There is no date set for construction of Phase 2.
