Danger Notice!

Posted by Rick on July 25, 2016

I was just made aware of a dangerous situation. The recent wind storm has downed some electric wires at the back of the church. Tom Roberts called to tell me that the city told him that the wires were still live. They told him that they were stacked up and will get to it as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I have posted danger signs on the pole and am writing you to bring your attention to this. Please do not let children play around this pole, and please do not try to move them yourself. The ends of the wire are covered, but they are still live.

Refrigerator Needed

Posted by Rick on April 20, 2011

The Food Pantry Ministry has need of a refrigerator. If someone in the Wagoner area has one in good working order that they would donate, we can arrange to come and pick it up. We can provide a donation receipt for tax purposes if needed. Please call the church office at 918-485-5115. Thanks!

Services Canceled Tonight

Posted by Rick on February 2, 2011

Due to the fact that there is 12 inches of snow and drifts up to 3 feet deep, we have decided to cancel services tonight.  It is simply too dangerous for folks to get out tonight.

The Food Pantry Ministry will be closed tomorrow (Thursday).

The Youth have postponed the Baked Potato Luncheon until Sunday, February 20.  They are still planning on going to the True Love Waits rally this Saturday.

VBS Begins Today!

Posted by Rick on July 26, 2010

Vacation Bible School begins today at 6 pm at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church!  Preparations have been underway for quite a while and everything is set for a big start!

The week will conclude with a big “Chuck Wagon Celebration” on Sunday evening, August 1, at 6 pm.  The children will provide a singing program for their family and friends, watch a fun-filled slide show of the week, get a certificate of completion and end with a Hot Dog supper.

One exciting element of the week will be a drawing for a free bicycle on August 1.  Each time a child attends, he will have his name submitted once for the drawing!  He must be present to win the bike on Sunday.

We also offer a week long marriage seminar based on the popular Hollywood movie, Fireproof.  “Fireproofing Your Marriage” will be held for free each night of VBS.  Space is limited to 10 couples.

For more information see www.immanuelsouthern.com/vbs or contact the church office at 485-5115.

Senior Adult Revival A Success!

Posted by Rick on October 15, 2008

What a wonderful revival!  It was such a blessing to have Bro Bill Green leading our music and Bro Ernie Perkins bringing God’s message!

We had a time of fellowship at lunch each day and we are already looking forward to next year’s Sr. Adult Revival which will be hosted by Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Muskogee!
