Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Acceptable Sacrifice” based on Luke 23:33-46:
- Sin separates man from God.
- Before the crucifixion, this was represented by the Veil of the Temple.
- Only the High Priest was allowed into the Holy of Holies.
- At Jesus’ death, the veil was torn in two, from top to bottom.
- Jesus’ death was the acceptable sacrifice to God.
- No more would the blood of goats and bulls be needed to atone for sin.
- Jesus’ blood would forevermore atone for sin.
- Forgiveness is available to all who would believe this.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “From Cheers to Jeers” based on Matthew 21:1-11:
- The same people who praised Jesus as the Messiah on Sunday shouted for His crucifixion on Friday.
- People’s expectation of the Messiah was skewed.
- People expectation of what God does for them is still skewed today.
- People get upset when they think there is more to salvation than just going to Heaven; it calls for life changes.
