Here are some “sound bites” from my Sunday morning message, “Back to the Basics – Salvation” based on John 3:1-21:

  • Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus only.
  • Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven.
  • Salvation is a gift, not a reward.
  • Being good doesn’t get you to Heaven.

  • Sin is anything that is in disobedience to God
  • There are sins of commission and sins of omission
  • Sin separates us from God
  • We cannot hide our sin from God
  • The cure for our sin is Jesus
