Chelsea Brown was baptized this past Sunday demonstrating to everyone in attendance, that she has trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior!

Bro Rick & Taylor Gipson
This past Sunday, those in attendance at ISBC had the privilege of witnessing the baptism of Taylor Gipson. Taylor accepted the Lord and was saved a couple of weeks ago. To make the day even more special, his mother and step-father also joined our fellowship!
God bless you, Taylor, as you grow in Jesus!

Brooklyn was saved on Dec 14 and was baptized December 28, 2008.
Michael was saved December 21, 2008 and was baptized January 4, 2009.
May God bless these two young people as they begin their life of serving Him!

Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning’s sermon, “Baptism: God’s Command” based on Romans 6:1-7
- Baptism does not save you.
- Baptism is an act of obedience that demonstrates what has already taken place in your heart.
- Baptism identifies you as a follower of Jesus Christ.
- Baptism by immersion is the proper method of baptism for it symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
- A believer who delays baptism, delays obedience.

Sunday’s Coming!
Revival!
I hope that just the mention of the word brings an air of excitement to you! I am waiting with anticipation for the Lord to bring revival to Immanuel Southern Baptist Church. It isn’t just an event on the calendar; it is a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit! It is a new work of God in our lives!
Won’t you join us Sunday and experience spiritual revival? Bro Bob Shoemake will be our speaker and Bro Martin Whipple will be our worship leader. Don’t forget our free barbeque chicken dinner Saturday evening at 6 pm. Be sure to invite your family, friends, and neighbors!
Sunday will also be a special time as we start our revival service with the baptism of Ken Burgett. Come and be a witness to his obedience to Christ’s command.
Be praying for our church, the revival leaders and for each other as begin this exciting journey together.
