  • Fellowship Hall Gets Attention

Friday afternoon, Dee and Marty Berryhill came in and gave the Fellowship Hall a good “deep cleaning”.

Thanks for caring!  We appreciate your service to our church!

  • Sunday’s Coming!

There has been a lot of TV and News stories this week about “Gay” marriages being legalized in California. There seems to be a new tolerance and even acceptance of homosexuality as a “normal” lifestyle choice in our society. Join us Sunday, as we take a look at what God has to say about this in Romans 1:18-32 as we look at “A Convenient Morality”.

Sunday evening, we’ll continue our study of Ephesians looking at chapter 2:11-22. I’m calling this sermon, “God’s Household”.

Be sure to invite someone to Sunday School!

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning’s sermon, “Who’s Your Daddy?” based on Romans 8:12-17:

    • Father’s Day is for some a special day.  For others, it is a day filled with bitterness.
    • God gave us our earthly fathers so that we might know how to relate to Him.
    • Unfortunately, our earthly fathers are not perfect, so we often transfer our negative feelings from them toward God.
    • God adopted us and has given us His name and a rich inheritance.
    • God loves us and there is nothing we can do about that.
    • God wants to spend time with you.

  • Audrey Boyne Surrenders to Missions

Audrey Boyne, daughter of pastor Rick Boyne and his wife, Sally, attended Falls Creek Baptist Encampment two weeks ago with Emmanuel Baptist Church of Enid, OK. The last evening there, she felt God’s call on her life for service as an overseas missionary. Due to extenuating circumstances, she was unable to make her call known public at the Falls Creek Tabernacle Invitation.

Yesterday morning, she came forward during the invitation time at her home church to make her decision public. The whole congregation affirmed her in her decision and promised to support her with prayer and finances. After the service was completed, Audrey greeted the whole church in a reception line.

Audrey already has a vast experience in missions. She is an MK (Missionary Kid) having lived in Guinea, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Thailand and Hong Kong. She has also traveled to The Gambia, Togo, Singapore, Macau, China, and Mongolia. Her heart for missions started when she was just 2 1/2 years old as her parents became missionaries with the IMB in Guinea, West Africa. She has lived 8 of her 12 years overseas. She will enter the 7th grade at Wagoner Middle School this fall.

Won’t you join with us as we pray for Audrey and guide her in her journey with God to fulfill the Great Commission?

  • Steve Krumm Voted Interim Minister of Music

Last Wednesday night, in regular business meeting, the church called Bro Steve Krumm to serve as our Interim Minister of Music. Bro. Steve is willing to fulfill this position for an indefinite period of time. My desire is to see our church grow enough that we are able to hire a full-time vocational Minister of Music within the next two years. Won’t you join us in praying to this end?

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Lukewarm Christianity” based on Revelation 3:14-20:

    • In many ways, the Laodicea was like America; self-sufficient and not lacking much.
    • The Church at Laodicea was criticized by Jesus for it’s lack of effectiveness, not it’s lack of fervor.
    • Jesus said that the church’s ineffectiveness made Him so sick He could vomit.
    • Too often, we, as Americans, put our faith in our wealth.
    • We often don’t seek God because He has blessed us so much, that we don’t think we even need God.
    • We must repent of this attitude and re-affirm our committment to God and His Great Commission.

Last week, I faced frustration with not being able to upload last week’s sermon onto our pod-cast server.  The problem seems to be resolved and I have uploaded last week’s evening sermon, “What’s So Amazing About Grace”?
