Here are some “Sound Bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Good Intentions” based on Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75:
- God is not interested in your “intention to be obedient”
- God is only interested in your obedience.
- Peter never intended to deny Christ.
- When it came down to it, Peter did not follow through on his intention to stay with Jesus, even if he had to die with Him.

- Spiritual pride can bring down even the mighty.
- We must always be on our guard against pride.
- We must put on humility.
- False humility doesn’t cut it.
- We must acknowledge the weakness of our flesh.
