Here are some “Sound Bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Good Intentions” based on Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75:

  • God is not interested in your “intention to be obedient”
  • God is only interested in your obedience.
  • Peter never intended to deny Christ.
  • When it came down to it, Peter did not follow through on his intention to stay with Jesus, even if he had to die with Him.

  • We must put on humility.
  • False humility doesn’t cut it.
  • We must acknowledge the weakness of our flesh.
