Edna McMillan Offering Goals Announced

The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma has announced the goals for the 2008 Edna McMillan State Missions Offering. The statewide goal is $1,050,000. The “Hallelujah Goal is $1,100,000.
The time for salvation is today. Now is the time to share the Gospel with those in Oklahoma who need Christ. Through your support of the Oklahoma State Missions Offering, nearly 30 ministries seize the opportunity to share Christ each day. Whether it’s a Disaster Relief volunteer, resources for our emerging generation, a new church plant or a Strategic Focus Community partnership, the Oklahoma State Missions Offering funds go above and beyond your regular tithe to provide additional funding to impact lostness in our state.
Our statewide goal is $1,050,000. Through the offering, Oklahoma Baptists are:
- Impacting areas all over our world and state effected by natural disaster
- Seeking to engage the Emerging Generation that is disappearing from our churches
- Planting new churches that embrace social, economic, and cultural distinctives in order to bridge the gap between Christ and the lost
- Inspiring, training, and funding associational churches to strategically focus on specific unchurched communities through Church Planting, Outreach Evangelism and Outreach Sunday School
Begin praying today and ask the Lord how He would have you support the Oklahoma State Missions Offering because “Now Is The Time!” Let’s make a difference in our state and see our world changed!

New Sign Footer Poured and Ready!
Yesterday, the city inspector came and approved our footing plans. Today, the concrete arrived and we poured the footer. The sign should arrive Thursday.
Getting ready to pour the footer.
The concrete is pouring.
Glen Bradshaw, Willie Rice, and Dee Berryhill smooth out the cement.
The finished footer.
I intended to write something in it, but when I went out this afternoon, it was already so hard that I could just barely scratch the date in it!

New Church Sign Coming!
Immanuel Southern will have a new church sign. It should have arrived in Tulsa today and will be delivered Thursday! Stewart Signs, out of Sarasota, Florida, is the sign company manufacturing our custom made sign.
Today, Bro Willie and his son-in-law, Glen, worked on getting the rebar footing in place for a city inspection. If all goes well, we should have the footing poured tomorrow. Despite the fact that the sign will be here on Thursday, the concrete won’t have enough time to cure properly to get the sign in place before next week.
We hope that our new church sign will attract attention and will let the community know that we are here for them!

2008 Church Survey
The 2008 Church Survey is available for all members and attenders of Immanuel Southern Bapitst Church. The written document is available in the foyer. We ask that folks take them home and prayerfully consider each question before answering.
The six questions on the survey are:
1. What do you think is the most important thing we can do to reach out to Wagoner?
2. What ministries would you like to see our church involved with?
3. Do you know how to share the Gospel with someone? If yes, when is the last time you shared the Gospel?
4. What do you think is the biggest problem we face in our church?
5. What do you think is the best thing about Immanuel Southern?
There is also a place at the bottom of the survey to include names and phone numbers of people that need the
Lord.
Complete the survey and bring it back next Sunday.

Audrey Boyne Surrenders to Missions
Audrey Boyne, daughter of pastor Rick Boyne and his wife, Sally, attended Falls Creek Baptist Encampment two weeks ago with Emmanuel Baptist Church of Enid, OK. The last evening there, she felt God’s call on her life for service as an overseas missionary. Due to extenuating circumstances, she was unable to make her call known public at the Falls Creek Tabernacle Invitation.
Yesterday morning, she came forward during the invitation time at her home church to make her decision public. The whole congregation affirmed her in her decision and promised to support her with prayer and finances. After the service was completed, Audrey greeted the whole church in a reception line.
Audrey already has a vast experience in missions. She is an MK (Missionary Kid) having lived in Guinea, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Thailand and Hong Kong. She has also traveled to The Gambia, Togo, Singapore, Macau, China, and Mongolia. Her heart for missions started when she was just 2 1/2 years old as her parents became missionaries with the IMB in Guinea, West Africa. She has lived 8 of her 12 years overseas. She will enter the 7th grade at Wagoner Middle School this fall.
Won’t you join with us as we pray for Audrey and guide her in her journey with God to fulfill the Great Commission?

Steve Krumm Voted Interim Minister of Music
Last Wednesday night, in regular business meeting, the church called Bro Steve Krumm to serve as our Interim Minister of Music. Bro. Steve is willing to fulfill this position for an indefinite period of time. My desire is to see our church grow enough that we are able to hire a full-time vocational Minister of Music within the next two years. Won’t you join us in praying to this end?
