Foliage Tour a Great Time for All!

Posted by Rick on October 28, 2009

foliage tour 2009

Twelve of us gathered in two vans to enjoy God’s handiwork in coloring the trees in Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas!  We had a great time of fellowship and fun.  Our route took us through Talequah, Westville, Fayetteville, Siloam Springs, Little Kansas, and Gore.  It rained almost the whole time we were in Arkansas, but when we came back into Oklahoma, it stopped.  The leaves were just beautiful this year!

Sunday’s Coming!

Posted by Rick on November 6, 2008

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel when we continue our series on “I Am”.  In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except by Me.”  This Sunday, we’ll examine closer what He meant when He said, “I am the Truth”.

Sunday evening, we’re in for a special treat.  We will have an Army Vetrinarian here to show us pictures and give us an update of what God is doing in Iraq.  He will present a slide show and a moving testimony.  Be sure to invite your friends!  Afterwards, we’ll have a brief reception with cookies.

See you Sunday!

Sunday’s Coming!

Posted by Rick on October 24, 2008

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel Southern where we will answer the question, “Can I Lose My Salvation?”  While this question isn’t asked out loud very often at church, it is very important, nonetheless.  We’ll use many verses to answer the question, but we’ll be looking mainly at John 10.  Sunday evening, we’ll discuss the need for the church to be “Salt & Light”, based on Matthew 5:13-16.  Following the evening service, we’ll have a very quick, short called business meeting to elect messengers to the Muskogee Baptist Association’s 96th Annual Meeting on November 3.  Following the quick business meeting, we’ll have our regular Finger Food Fellowship!

Sunday’s Coming!

Posted by Rick on September 25, 2008

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel Southern as we have “A Lesson in Humility”.  We’ll examine Jesus’ parable in Luke 14:7-14 and see how that relates to us today.  Sunday evening, we’ll conclude our study of Ephesians by looking at the second part of the “Armor of God”.  Last Sunday, I couldn’t get it all in one message, so this Sunday, we’ll look at the Shield of Faith, Helmut of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit.

Sunday evening, after services, we’ll have our Finger Food Fellowship.  Be sure to invite your friends!

Sunday’s Coming!

Posted by Rick on August 28, 2008

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel as we take a look at II Kings 18:1-7 with the sermon, “Tear Down Your Idols!”  Many of the kings of the Old Testament were commended for “doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord”.  Some were condemned for “doing what was evil in the sight of the Lord”.  Others had a commendation, but with a caveat: “They did right, but did not tear down the altars in the high places”.  We’ll look together to see what that means for each of us today.

Sunday evening is our 5th Sunday Sing and Finger Food Fellowship.  This month, however, we will be adding a very special time of fellowship as we incorporate a baby shower for Amy and Tony Neis.  They are registered at Wal-Mart, so it should be easy to find what they need.

Be sure to invite someone to Sunday School!
