  • ISBC Youth to Gather on Wednesdays

CIA - Christianity In ActionISBC is excited to announce the formation of CIA-Christianity in Action!  This is the youth group of Immanuel Southern and they will be meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the youth room.  Our newest ISBC member, Tony Boyd, and his wife, Lori, will be leading this dynamic time of fellowship and Bible Study.  We are excited to see what God will be doing through CIA.

Tony and Lori moved back to Wagoner from Omaha, NE.  Tony feels a call from God to work with youth and we are blessed to have them in our congregation.  Tony was recently placed on the Board of Eternity Fraternity.

We have created a youth page on this website along with a Facebook page.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message “Ichabod” based on I Samuel 4:10-22:

    • Holiness is nothing to be played with.
    • God demands holiness from His servants.
    • God can’t get glory from an unfaithful servant.
    • Our ultimate goal is to bring glory to God.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Saved to Serve” based on John 13:1-17:

    • The Disciples gathered in the upper room for the Feast of the Passover.  There was no servant to wash their feet.
    • None of the disciples volunteered to wash feet.
    • Jesus got up and did it Himself.
    • When He was finished, He told them He gave them an example to follow, not necessarily of the ritual of foot washing, but of service to one another.
    • So we, too, should serve one another.

The church does not have a mission– it joins Jesus on His mission. It is better to say that the mission has a church! – Ed Stetzer

  • Foliage Tour a Great Time for All!

    foliage tour 2009

Twelve of us gathered in two vans to enjoy God’s handiwork in coloring the trees in Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas!  We had a great time of fellowship and fun.  Our route took us through Talequah, Westville, Fayetteville, Siloam Springs, Little Kansas, and Gore.  It rained almost the whole time we were in Arkansas, but when we came back into Oklahoma, it stopped.  The leaves were just beautiful this year!
