Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Hypocrisy vs Integrity” based on Acts 5:1-11:

  • Too many Christians put on masks before they “go to church” on Sundays.
  • Too many Christians aren’t transparent with their family and friends and try to put on a show
  • Hypocrisy is a visible cancer of the church.
  • Integrity is being as holy in private as you are in public.
  • Hypocrisy is not being as holy in private as you are in public.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Mediocre Expectations” based on Acts 3:1-10:

  • Most of us don’t believe God will work in our lives or the lives of others.
  • Most of us don’t believe God will use our church for His Kingdom purposes.
  • Most of us don’t want God to bless us like He wants to bless us.
  • Most of us are content to live lives of mediocrity.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Splinters and Logs” based on Matthew 7:1-5:

  • Most of us aren’t able to judge others fairly.
  • We must exercise mercy when dealing with others.
  • Many use judgment of others to control or condemn.
  • Some use judgement of others to make themselves feel better.
  • Leave the judging to God.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “A Supernatural Walk” based on Matthew 14:22-31:

  • Peter could only walk on the water after Jesus called him to Himself
  • When Peter took his eyes off Jesus, he began to sink
  • We can only walk the holiness of the Christian life by the power of Jesus
  • When we take our eyes off Jesus, we, too, begin to sink

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday evening’s message, “Integrity in Hard Times” based on I Samuel 21:1-15:

  • Difficult times are no excuse to lie, steal, or be mean
  • We are called to be Holy; there is no “except when” clause
  • When we trust God instead of taking matters into our own hands, God gets glory
  • When we take matters into our own hands, we run the risk of looking and acting foolishly

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Full Strength Love” based on I Peter 4:7-11:

  • In the last days people will be self-centered and have a shallow love, diluted by the world and self interests.
  • In the last days, Christians should be fervent in their love toward one another, undiluted by the world.
  • We should set a good example for the world.
  • Others will know that we are Jesus’ disciples by our love for one another.

Here are some “Sound Bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Righteous for the Unrighteous” based on Matthew 27:15-26:

  • Pilate knew Jesus was innocent.
  • Pilate thought he could persuade the crowd to release Jesus instead of the murderer Barabbas.
  • The priests and elders convinced the people to ask for Barabbas.
  • This surprised Pilate and did as they asked to avoid a riot.
  • Jesus was innocent and suffered punishment.
  • Barabbas was guilty and set free.
  • We are like Barabbas.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday mornings message, “The Full Armor of God” based on Ephesians 6:10-19.  It was a special service for a national guardsman deploying to Afghanistan:

  • Each piece of the armor is essential.
  • You cannot leave any piece of the armor out.
  • It is a complete personal defensive and offensive system.
  • It is given to be used, not just looked at.
  • You must be spiritually fit in order to use it properly.
