  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday’s sermon, “Christmas Boxes” based on Luke 1:26-38:

    • Gabriel was sent by God to tell Mary that she had been chosen to bear His son
    • Mary was surprised but consented
    • When Joseph and Mary got to Bethlehem, there was no room for them with anyone so they had to stay in the stable
    • The first “box” was the manger; Jesus was wrapped in cloths and lying in it.
    • The second “box” was the gift of the Magi
    • The third “box” was the Garden Tomb.  It was borrowed, because it wasn’t going to be used for very long.
    • The gift is still available today and has your name written on it.
    • Won’t you open your heart to Jesus?

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “Thank You, Lord” based on Luke 17:11-19:

    • Sin is like leprosy; it separates, stinks, and kills.
    • Jesus can heal our souls of sin, just as He healed the lepers of their disease.
    • There is so much to be grateful for, but we often ignore it.
    • The other nine were happy about their healing, but they didn’t take the time to say “thank you”.
    • We must find God at work in everything and give Him thanks.

  • Bits & Bytes

Due to a glitch on the podcast server, the Bits & Bytes post has been delayed.  It is now fixed, so, without further ado, here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “I Am the Life” based on John 14:6,

    • If you do not have Jesus in your heart, you are dead because of your sins.
    • This death is a spiritual condition and it lasts for eternity.
    • This spiritual condition, if continuing until judgment, will result in the condemnation of Hell.
    • Jesus, however, came to give us Life.
    • The life that Jesus brings is both eternal life and abundant life.
    • If you trust Jesus to save you, you can have both.

You can listen to the sermon here or by clicking on the audio player below.

Our dinner is a potluck with the church providing the turkey.  You do not NEED to bring anything to attend.  If you want to bring a dish or a dessert, you are more than welcome to do so.  We want YOU more than your food!

Call 485-5115 if you have any questions or need a ride.

    See you Sunday!

  • Mission Quote of the Week

“The point of the whole missional church focus is that it can’t be about us, but the whole church joining Jesus and His mission; living “sent” in a lost world.” – Dr. Ed Stetzer

  • Sunday’s Coming!

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel when we take a look at the last of the three part series “I Am”, when we examine Jesus claim, “I Am the Life”, based on John 14:6.  We’ll delve deeper into that statement and see what it means for us, today.  Sunday evening, we’ll see if we are “Playing Church” or if we are the real thing, based on Romans 12:9-21.

Be sure to invite someone to Sunday School!
