Everyone is in need of rescue
Jesus is the Mighty God who is able to rescue
God will rescue only those who asked to be saved

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Blood of Christ” based on Hebrews 9:11-22:
The vileness of sin is so great it required an equally vile cure.
Blood has been required to cover sin since Adam and Eve sinned and God had to kill an animal to make clothes for them.
The blood of bulls and goats are not good enough to forgive sin.
Jesus became the acceptable sacrifice.
Jesus’ sacrifice only had to be made once.
His sacrifice is available to all who believe.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “The Cross of Christ” based on I Corinthians 1:18-25:
The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing.
The message of the cross is the power of God to those who are being saved.
The cross is a symbol of God’s great love for us.
The cross is a reminder of the vileness of our sin.
People try to make sense out of God’s plan, but it confounds them.
Christianity isn’t really a religion; it is a relationship.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Promise of Pentecost”, based on Acts 2:1-24:
Most Christians are stuck somewhere between Calvary and Pentecost.
Pentecost is when we celebrate God’s giving of the Holy Spirit to His believers.
Every person who has trusted Jesus receives the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God’s seal and promise that we will be redeemed on the Day of Judgment.
We must constantly be filled with the Holy Spirit to experience His power.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “It Is Finished” based on John 19:16-30:
The word Jesus said from the cross means “paid in full” or “transaction complete”
The work He did for us on the cross paid for our sins in full.
We do not need to work to buy our forgiveness; it has already been paid.
We can receive this forgiveness by believing in and trusting in Jesus.

God has a plan for our life.
Sin often spoils God’s plan.
God doesn’t throw us out, but he begins again.
God can make something beautiful out of our messed up lives.

Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning’s sermon, “Set Free!” based on Romans 8:1-8:
Before we accept Christ, we are “condemned captives”.
Our condemnation is eternal separation from God in Hell.
We are condemned because we have sinned.
However, Jesus became in on our behalf that we might be righteous to God.
Jesus took the full brunt of the wrath of God.
We then are preserved for eternity with God in Heaven.
We are rescued & redeemed.
There are those who do not know this good news and are going to face the full wrath of God.
We must make every effort to share Jesus with them.
