Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Second Hand Religion” based on Exodus 33:7-23:
- God intended to have a personal relationship with you.
- Some people keep God at a distance by practicing religion.
- Some people come to church, but never live for the Lord.
- Some people want to have a relationship vicariously through their pastor or other “religious” person.
- Having a second hand relationship with God is like using someone else’s toothbrush; it just isn’t right.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “The Cross of Christ” based on I Corinthians 1:18-25:
- The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing.
- The message of the cross is the power of God to those who are being saved.
- The cross is a symbol of God’s great love for us.
- The cross is a reminder of the vileness of our sin.
- People try to make sense out of God’s plan, but it confounds them.
- Christianity isn’t really a religion; it is a relationship.

- Jesus invites you to come to Him.
- The burden of religion is too much for us to carry.
