Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “We Are Called to Faithfulness”, based on Mark 4:26-32.
- God depends on us to sow the seed of the Gospel. (evangelism, missions)
- While we are responsible for sowing the Gospel, it is God who causes growth (salvation)
- After the growth (salvation) has begun, we are responsible to aide that growth (discipleship)
- It isn’t the “Great Suggestion”; it is the “Great Commission”.
- We are called to be fishers of men, not keepers of aquariums.
- We are called to be faithful to God’s mission, that is, the ministry of reconciliation.
