Bits & Bytes

Posted by Rick on August 5, 2008

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “We Are Called to Faithfulness”, based on Mark 4:26-32.

  • God depends on us to sow the seed of the Gospel. (evangelism, missions)
  • While we are responsible for sowing the Gospel, it is God who causes growth (salvation)
  • After the growth (salvation) has begun, we are responsible to aide that growth (discipleship)
  • It isn’t the “Great Suggestion”; it is the “Great Commission”.
  • We are called to be fishers of men, not keepers of aquariums.
  • We are called to be faithful to God’s mission, that is, the ministry of reconciliation.

You can listen to Sunday morning’s sermon here, or by clicking on the audio player below.

You can also listen to Sunday evening’s sermon, “Instructions for Living” based on Ephesians 4:25-32 here or by clicking on the audio player below.
