Here are some “sound bites” from last Sunday’s morning message, “Stop GOING to church (and start BEING the church) based on James 1:22-25:
The church is the building.
The church is the members.
We are the body of Christ.
When we meet, it isn’t “church” – it is the assembling of the church.
We must have this mindset if we are to live as God would like us to live.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Christian Life: Evangelism” based 0n I Thessalonians 2:1-4:
You don’t have to be a Billy Graham to share the gospel.
The gospel is meant to be shared, not kept secret.
God has entrusted the gospel to us to share with others.
The gospel is true and can stand alone without gimmicks (like promises of health and wealth)
We share the gospel because we love God and want to please Him.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Christian Life: Prayer” based on Matthew 6:5-13. It is the first of a four part series on the Essentials of the Christian Life:
We are privileged to call God “Father”
We should worship and adore God in our prayers.
We should pray for our needs and for God’s guidance.
We should praise the Lord and thank Him for His blessings.
We are privileged to approach God’s throne because of what Jesus has done for us.
Those who have not believed on Jesus cannot call God “Father”.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Mark of a True Disciple” based on John 1:35-42:
American Christians have been lied to for too long.
They’ve been told that they only have to attend church and give money to be a Christian.
Jesus expects more.
He expects us to love each other.
He expects us to die to ourselves every day.
He expects us to obey Him.
A TRUE disciple MAKES disciples!

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Cafeteria Christianity” based on II Timothy 3:14-17:
You can’t pick and choose what you are going to believe or obey based on what pleases you.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable.
Jesus said, “If you love me, obey My commandments.”
Following Jesus isn’t easy.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Cost of Following Jesus” based on Luke 14:25-33:
Jesus said you have to give up everything to follow Him.
Jesus said you cannot love anyone more than Him if you want to follow Him.
Don’t get distracted from following Him.
Jesus is coming like a powerful king to do battle, we must chose to fight Him or surrender to Him.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “We Are Called to Faithfulness”, based on Mark 4:26-32.
God depends on us to sow the seed of the Gospel. (evangelism, missions)
While we are responsible for sowing the Gospel, it is God who causes growth (salvation)
After the growth (salvation) has begun, we are responsible to aide that growth (discipleship)
It isn’t the “Great Suggestion”; it is the “Great Commission”.
We are called to be fishers of men, not keepers of aquariums.
We are called to be faithful to God’s mission, that is, the ministry of reconciliation.
