Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Christian Life: Evangelism” based 0n I Thessalonians 2:1-4:

  • You don’t have to be a Billy Graham to share the gospel.
  • The gospel is meant to be shared, not kept secret.
  • God has entrusted the gospel to us to share with others.
  • The gospel is true and can stand alone without gimmicks (like promises of health and wealth)
  • We share the gospel because we love God and want to please Him.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Dare to Be a Daniel” based on Daniel 6:

  • Daniel was in the habit of  praying.
  • Daniel loved God more than he loved his own life.
  • Daniel wasn’t going to let the law of the land stop his devotion to God.
  • Daniel’s contemporaries were jealous of his model lifestyle.
  • Daniel’s obedience resulted in the whole nation knowing/learning about God.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Can I Lose My Salvation?” based on John 10:7-11, 27-29,

  • God has promised eternal life; He placed no conditions on it.
  • God promised that nothing can snatch us out of His hands.
  • God has placed us in Jesus Christ.
  • Jesus Christ will never leave the Father.
  • “Religious experience” does not equal salvation.
  • The answer to the question is “NO! Not if you are truly saved in the first place!”

You can listen to the sermon here, or by clicking on the audio player below.

You can also listen to Sunday evening’s sermon, “Salt & Light” based on Matthew 5:13-16 here or by clicking on the audio player below.

Great Resource

Posted by Rick on February 13, 2008

I want to share a great internet resource with you.  It is called E-Sword and it is a free Bible software program that can download to your computer. Go to http://www.e-sword.net/ and click on “Downloads”.  You will need to save it to your computer, but you will be able to use it without connecting to the internet once you have installed it.

It has 25 versions in English and others in just about any other language you can think of.  It also has free commentaries, Bible dictionaries, pictures, maps, and devotionals.  There are also several different popular versions that you can pay to download, such as The Message, The New American Standard, The New International Version, and The Holman Christian Standard Version, among others.

E-Sword

I hope you use it and benefit from it.  Tell others about it; it’s free!

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Are you a Convert or a Disciple?” based on Matthew 7: 24-27.

  • A convert is one who has been persuaded from one belief or view to another.
  • A disciple is one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another.
  • A convert could be a true believer or one in “name” only.
  • A disciple is someone who is following Jesus and obeying His commandments.
  • The Great Commission did not say, “Go and make converts…”; it said, “Go and make disciples…”
  • Jesus said, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Me.”
  • Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
  • Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”

You can listen to “Are you a Convert or a Disciple here or by clicking the player below.

Sunday evening’s sermon, “What Path Are You On?” can be listened to here or by clicking the player below.
