Here are some “sound bites” from the morning sermon of October 10 “Are You a Fan or a Follower?” based on Luke 9:23-25:
We can dress like Christians, talk like Christians, attend church and Sunday School, give offerings, and have no commitment to Christ whatsoever.
Just like football fans, many church goers aren’t really followers of Jesus; just cheerleaders.
Jesus calls us to follow Him; not to merely give Him lip-service.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Dare to Be a Daniel” based on Daniel 6:
Daniel was in the habit of praying.
Daniel loved God more than he loved his own life.
Daniel wasn’t going to let the law of the land stop his devotion to God.
Daniel’s contemporaries were jealous of his model lifestyle.
Daniel’s obedience resulted in the whole nation knowing/learning about God.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Be Holy” based on I Peter 1:13-16:
Holiness is NOT a list of do’s and don’ts. That is religion. That is legalism.
Holiness IS conforming to the character of God and being obedient to the will of God.
Holiness is a commitment to a changed life.
Holiness is being in the Word and talking back to God through prayer.
Holiness is an attitude.
