Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Christian Life: Evangelism” based 0n I Thessalonians 2:1-4:
You don’t have to be a Billy Graham to share the gospel.
The gospel is meant to be shared, not kept secret.
God has entrusted the gospel to us to share with others.
The gospel is true and can stand alone without gimmicks (like promises of health and wealth)
We share the gospel because we love God and want to please Him.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Teachers of Trash, not Truth” based on II Peter 2:1-9:
False teachers mix an element of truth with lies to make it palatable.
The so-called “prosperity gospel” is garbage, not gospel.
The “word of faith” movement is trash, not truth.
God NEVER promises that He will make you rich and keep you well.
God promises that He will walk through the difficult times with you, not keep you from walking through them at all.

We had a great day yesterday with visitors in both services! Here are some “sound bites” from the morning sermon, “My Grace Is Sufficient” based on 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
America is being fed garbage and being told it is the Gospel.
The Gospel nor the Bible NEVER promises for you to be rich or healthy or happy.
God does promise that you will have hardships.
God promises that He will be with you in those difficult times.
The True Gospel is that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on our behalf that if we believe in Him, we’ll have eternal life instead of being separated from Him for eternity.

Join us this Sunday at Immanuel when we continue our series on “I Am”. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except by Me.” This Sunday, we’ll examine closer what He meant when He said, “I am the Truth”.
Sunday evening, we’re in for a special treat. We will have an Army Vetrinarian here to show us pictures and give us an update of what God is doing in Iraq. He will present a slide show and a moving testimony. Be sure to invite your friends! Afterwards, we’ll have a brief reception with cookies.
See you Sunday!

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Mean What You Say”, based on Matthew 5:33-37.
Oaths and vows became a way for people to lie.
If people swore “by God”, then they were answerable to God.
If people sower “by heaven” or “by Jerusalem”, they could get away with lying.
Jesus said to mean what you say.
Jesus said to not swear at all, just simply tell the truth all the time.
Let your “yes” be a real “yes”, and your “no” be a real “no. Don’t make it conditional.

Here are some “Sound Bites” from yesterday morning’s sermon, “A Convenient Morality” based on Romans 1:18-32:
We alter God’s word to make it convenient for us and to excuse our sins.
When people suppress God’s truth, there are consequences.
When people quit honoring God and start serving themselves, there are consequences.
The consequences include God giving them over to the lust of their hearts.
The consequences include God giving them over to degrading passions.
The consequences include God giving them over to a depraved mind.
The solution is to return to God.
Don’t get too judgmental regarding the sin of others. God hates your sin, too.
