Here are some “sound bites” from the morning sermon of October 10 “Are You a Fan or a Follower?” based on Luke 9:23-25:
We can dress like Christians, talk like Christians, attend church and Sunday School, give offerings, and have no commitment to Christ whatsoever.
Just like football fans, many church goers aren’t really followers of Jesus; just cheerleaders.
Jesus calls us to follow Him; not to merely give Him lip-service.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Fireproof Faith” based on Daniel 3:13-31:
Hannaniah, Mishael, and Azariah were faced with obedience to God or compromise to save their hide.
Rather than compromise, they trusted God to save them.
They had decided that even IF God chose to not save them, they weren’t going to bow to the idol.
We won’t typically face those types of decisions because we will have already compromised.
We face the decision between obedience and compromise a hundred times a day.
We must be faithful to God and trust His way.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Tear Down Your Idols!”, based on II Kings 18:1-7:
God gave the command to “not have, make, or worship idols”.
While most of us may not have any idols in our homes, sometimes we make things into idols.
An idol can be defined as “anything that distracts you from worshiping God”.
What about “cultural trinkets”? Do they count as idols?
You may not worship Buddha statues that you may have, but why have them in the first place?
Do you worship your kids? grandkids? money? spouse? sex? cars? etc?
Tear down those idols in your life and put God back in the place He deserves! In the CENTER of your life!

I finally got the evening sermon from May 11uploaded yesterday. It is “Don’t Forget” based on Judges 8. It has to do with not forgetting that God is God and all that He has done for you. It calls upon the believer to return to God if he has gone astray. It talks about how we abandon God and His work to go to our own devices, our own abilities, and our own pursuits. How quickly we place the worship of things, (even the KJV Bible!) above God!You can listen to the sermon here or by clicking on the player below.
