Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Part-time Christians” based on Matthew 23:23-28
- Jesus condemns people who try to obey the smallest part of the law but ignore the import stuff.
- Jesus says the important stuff is justice (fairness), mercy/compassion, and faithfulness.
- We too often only “act” like Christians when it is convenient for us.
- We need to realize we have been bought with a price.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “The Christian Life: Stewardship” based on Mark 12:41-44:
- Tithing is a command of the law of the Old Covenant.
- There is no way Christians can biblically tithe today.
- What we call tithing today is merely giving 10%.
- God does not call us to tithe.
- He calls us to give sacrificially.
- He calls us to give faithfully.
- He calls us to trust Him to meet our needs.
- To require someone to tithe is nothing more than modern-day pharisee-ism and legalism.
