  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from yesterday morning’s message, “The Great White Throne” based on Revelation 20:11-15:

    • Believers in Jesus Christ will face judgment at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
    • Those who did not trust/believe in Jesus will face judgment at the Great White Throne.
    • God alone will be the judge.
    • The book of works and the Book of Life will be used as evidence against you.
    • The verdict will be eternal condemnation because you didn’t believe in Jesus.

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Surviving the Failure of Sin” based on John 21:15-17:

    • We often buy into Satan’s lie that once we sin, we are of no use to God.
    • There is a way to survive the failure of sin.
    • We must re-affirm our love for Jesus and confess our sin.
    • We must continue to follow Him without hesitation.
    • We must keep our eyes on the goal and off other people.

  • Food Drive for Food Pantry Ministry

We have great news!  The Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation will divide $1 million proportionately among anti-hunger agencies nationwide using it as a spur to raise funds during March and April 2010.  They will match each donation of cash, check, or food items valued at $1 or more!

We have already had two food drives during this time: the CIA Youth Group and Curves.  We have had several cash donations through our normal sources.  It is not too late to make an incredible difference to our Food Pantry Ministry.

Bring in your food items or be sure to designate your special offering as “Food Pantry” and donate before April 30.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Bouts with Doubts” based on John 20:19-29:

    • Thomas doubted that Jesus rose from the dead, but believed after he saw Him with his own eyes.
    • Jesus said “blessed are they that believe without seeing”.
    • All of us deal with doubts.
    • Doubts do not equal a loss of faith.
    • Work through your doubts to build your faith.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “It Is Finished” based on John 19:16-30:

    • The word Jesus said from the cross means “paid in full” or “transaction complete”
    • The work He did for us on the cross paid for our sins in full.
    • We do not need to work to buy our forgiveness; it has already been paid.
    • We can receive this forgiveness by believing in and trusting in Jesus.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s message, “Cleaning House” based on Matthew 21:12-16:

    • Upon arriving in Jerusalem, Jesus went straight to the temple.
    • He was horrified to find the temple full of people taking advantage of those who wanted to worship God.
    • He “messed everything up” as far as the vendors were concerned.
    • Jesus wasn’t interested in preserving the continued corruption of those making a profit from the temple.
    • Jesus desires to make your temple a proper place of worship, too.
