100% of the money given will be used to fund mission projects right here in Oklahoma.

    How much can you give?

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “What God Expects” based on Matthew 22:34-40:

    • God expects things from us.
    • God expects us to love Him.
    • God expects us to love others.
    • We cannot plead ignorance; He gave us His love letter (the Bible) to tell us in detail.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday Morning’s sermon, “The Wretchedness of Sin” based on II Samuel 12:1-13:

    • Many people go to church to only get “a blessing”.
    • People do not recognize the severity and wretchedness of their own sin.
    • People ignore sin.
    • People don’t want to talk about sin or its consequences.
    • God will repay people for their sin; that repayment is death.
    • The only way out of this predicament is to go to Jesus for deliverance.

  • Bits & Bytes

Here are some “sound bites” from Sunday morning’s sermon, “Thermostats & Thermometers” based on Matthew 5:13-16:

    • A thermometer simply reflects the environment.
    • A thermostat changes its environment.
    • Jesus called us to be thermostats, not thermometers.
    • We are to be salt; flavoring life with Jesus.
    • We are to be light; shining to glorify God.

  • A Note from Bro Rick

    Dear Church Family,

For two years I have had the honor and privilege of being your pastor.  This past Sunday, I gave my anniversary sermon despite the fact that I have been suffering from pneumonia.  Make no mistake; I needed to give that sermon, which you can hear by going to www.sermon.net/rboyne and searching for “Parts is Parts”.  I want to say that I honestly never thought I that I would enjoy being a pastor, but I do!  I love being your pastor!

Unfortunately, by my own stubbornness, I have made an error in judgement.  It was fool hearted of me to presume that I could preach two services while trying to recover from pneumonia.  After a visit to the doctor yesterday, it became exceedingly clear that I am not recovering as quickly as I should be.  Therefore, the doctor has ordered bed rest for a week.

With that in mind, I have asked Bro. Willy Rice to preach for me Sunday morning, and Bro Gene Limb to preach for me Sunday evening.  It isn’t an easy thing for me to do, but I think it is best for our church in the long run.  Thank you so much for your prayers and your support & encouragement!

Here are some “sound bites” from the pastor’s Anniversary Sermon “Parts Is Parts” based on I Corinthians 12:14-26:

    • We are all part of the Body of Christ
    • Many times we want to be an inconspicuous part.
    • Until further notice assume that you are an arm, a foot, a hand or a mouth.
    • God didn’t call us to warm pews.
