We have a BIG SUNDAY planned for this Sunday, August 21st!
We’ll begin the worship service with the baptism of four people; Brian Tyler, Will Niffen, Abby Carson, and Makayla Hall! Come and be witnesses to their acts of obedience!
We’ll also celebrate the Lord’s Supper! It will be unlike any other Lord’s Supper we’ve celebrated at ISBC. I’m praying that it will be a great encouragement to you. Please be in sincere self-examination as you prepare spiritually to participate in the Supper of our Lord.
God is doing some great things at ISBC! Please continue to be in prayer for the church as we seek God’s will and strive to glorify Him in all we do!
Sunday School starts at 9:45. If you don’t currently attend a Sunday School class, please come this Sunday to check things out; I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
This coming Sunday, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper! Begin to prepare your hearts. I Corinthians 11:29 warns us to not take the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner. It urges us to examine ourselves.
We should take this to mean that if we are living in unrepentant sin, then get right with God (repent and don’t do that sin any more) before coming to His table. If you have something against someone, or someone has something against you, then make it right with that person before coming to His table.
Our message Sunday morning will be “Cleaning House” based on Matthew 21:12-16, where Jesus cleansed the temple in Jerusalem.
Sunday evening, the Abbotts will be with us to give a presentation of their work in Indonesia. We’ll have a Finger Food Fellowship following.
And what a special Sunday it will be! Sunday morning, we’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We’ll also light our 4th Advent Candle, “The Wisemen’s Candle”. We’ll take a look at Luke 23 with the sermon, “Christmas Trees”. Immediately following our morning service, you are invited to stay for our Annual Christmas Dinner!
Sunday evening, we’ll light our 5th Advent Candle, “Christ’s Candle” and have a Christmas Carole Sing!
Invite your friends! Bring the neighbors! Let’s celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
